l never used the code before and l completely forgot what it was. l know usually with fords you can find the number inside. But l have been searching with my vehicle? does anyone know where l can find the code to get inside my car without a key?

go to the rear of the truck and open the hatch,look on your left side and remove the cover thats there,get a flashlight and look on top of the wheel well inside the truck,there should be what looks like a metal box,look on thetop and you will see a 5 digit number there,that is the original code for the locks.good luck.

The answer above, applies to 2001 & older model years. To locate the original keypad code on ur 2003 model year Mountaineer, open the right/rear door. Pull the on-body rubber weatherstrip out, around the rear side of the door closure. Fold the right/rear seatback down into the locked position to facilitate access to the right/rear seat belt anchor. Carefully pry the upper plastic panel that houses the height adjuster & seat belt anchor off the body taking care not to damage the panel. Now pry the lower panel outward just far enough to enable access to the Vehicle Security Module, where u will see three electrical connectors plugged into it, coloured green, grey, & blue. On the module will be a series of digits on a label similar to 3L2T-15K602-EA. Beside those digits r five numbers. Those five numbers r the keyless entry keypad code. Hope this helps.
