I am going to buy an engine rebuild kit for a 1974 Mercury Zephyr but can not seem to find one anywhere. Does anyone know where l can find one.

Go to a local major auto parts store. They can get re ring kits ( rings , bearings,gaskets) & major overhaul kit ( re-ring kit plus pistons, timing components & oil pump,etc) Most will have to order it but they will have a price & can get in a day or two. You will have to know the sizes u need to order.( std or oversize pistons & or rings) & also rod & main brg sizes. If the store u go to cant figure it out go somewhere else but most all can get them if they r worth there salt & want a sale..ujn
