It is only the 2.0 4 cyl DOHC what shouls l do to the car if any thing l think a nice tint job would look sick.but what performance stuff should l do

products for that particular engine. Maybe a cold air intake
and exhaust.

there is little you can do while maintaining low cost to gain power from that engine. It just was not designed as a performance powerplant. If you want some sort of gratification, do I/H/E (intake/header/exhaust). Sometimes sounding faster makes it feel faster.

l think the engine in your Cougar is either a Duratec or a Zetec.
If l am right, NorthCoast Performance nthcoast.com has all sorts of performance upgrades, including intake, exhaust, camshaft --even supercharging!

l have a 2000 6 cyl cougar but the engines are both duratec.. .ive looked all over the place to find performance upgrades for that engine and there are very few. ive got the cold air intake the a dual exhaust. looked about supercharging it or putting in a turbo but way too much work and couldnt find anyone willing to do it for me. besides that you should get a nice body kit for it
