Thanx, Guys.Found the 12v10amp relay/fuse to be bad.The broken cable must have knocked it out.

I'd say the speedometer cable either broke or came loose.

There is no speedo cable. your car has an electronic sensor (speed sensor) located on the transmission. This most likely is the problem.

hey sparky! answer me this question--why do people answer a question when they do not know what they are talking about? when was the last time you saw a ford car with a speedometer cable--let alone a broken one--but you know it could also be the drive gear on the output shaft--or maybe the driven gear on the cable---oops--i forgot THERE IS NO CABLE---hope you enjoyed this as much as l have but l just couldnt resist
