i am trying to find out if my 97 mercury sable wagon came with anti lock breaks

the easiest way is to start the car & look at ur instrument cluster-if u have anti lock a yellow light will be on saying anti lock & will go off in a few seconds after it does its self test. or u can take it out on an empty dirt road at about 20-30 mph & stab the brakes as hard as u can-if u feel pulsating in the brake pedal u have anti lock brakes-lots of other ways too like checking ur rotors for an exciter ring or electrical connectors & the sensor aimed at the exciter rings etc-hope this helps
