hi i have a 99 mercury cougar and the sun roof is not working properly where can i get one really cheap???

Search at junkyards. They should have one.

Is it a factory sunroof? If so, the only place you can get those parts NEW is the dealership, so no, they're not cheap.

Might want to try a search of junk yards, use car-part.com .

Of course, you might want to have someone who knows what they're doing to diagnose it first, so you will know what part you need.

depends upon how it is working improperly. unless the mechanism broke which regulates the window movement, usually a window motor or such is about a few hundred or so with tax as that sun roof mechanism from a junk yark will usually be half the cost of new so you are looking at probalby $500-$750 with almost no guarantees

Well is the motor just not working that happen to my 1999 cougar and l just got the motor fixed for nothing but that was b/c l had a warrenty this was a while ago when it was new...it will gost quite a pretty penny tho to get with out one about 500 hundred bucks!!
