How do I get into a locked trunk of a 1998 Mercury Mystique

It is a 4 door. Ca not remove back seat. Accidentally hit switch in trunk, so can not use lever next to seat to release.

look in the glove box for a button or down by the drivers seat of a latch.

should be a lever next to the drivers seat. if it does not work. take out the back seat go through there.


to remove the back seat you need to first remove the bottom cushion. then you will see the bolts holding the rear cushion down. there should be 2 clips in the front of the bottom seat cushion that will release it. once you have the bolts out of the back cushion, pull it up.
