Where is the indoor temperature sensor for a 2001 mercury sable premium LS??? Air conditioner is stuck on heat, replaced compressor, recharged, and checked for leaks. All are OK.

Sensor is inside the eatc if l remember (it is behind the little grill slit on the dash that has no air come out)

However your issue is more likely traced to a temperature blend door motor that has stripped it is gears and gets stuck on one temperature inside the car.. yank the radio and it is right there to change. about an hour to change but is a dealer only part


That is if the a/c is running and functioning normally when on a gauge

remove the panel that holds the radio/eatc control head. it is in that panel, but gearbox is right l have never seen one fail. even if it does it will have very little effect on how well the a/c works.
