Sable 97' Is the key to the ingnition also suppose to fit to the trunk? Mine doesn't??

Yes it is. one of two things could have happened.

1) The ignition was changed, & that would mean the key wo not work for the doors either.

2) The trunk lid was changed, & that would mean the key works for everything except the trunk.

If it is #1, u can go to a dealer & have them cut u a key. But to avoid paying big bucks, just tell them u only need it for the doors, & they wo not program it for ur cars computer. That should save u about $50.

If it is #2, then l do not know what to tell you. You could try going to a dealer to have the lock replaced to the key that u currently have, but besides that, l can not think of anything else.

l have a 94 and it takes a different key for the trunk.
