When Ford bought Volvo back in 99-2000, they started to intregrate all the same safety features into their Ford products that have given Volvo the safety ratings they have earned.
Safety Cage construction - Unibody - crumple zones - stage 2 airbags - side curtain airbags - two side door safety rails - etc. They r extremely safe automobiles & have been given very high marks for their safety.
They r also very good cars, sporty looking & easy to maintain as u can go to any Ford, Lincoln, Mercury or Volvo dealership to get them worked on.
