Hi l am looking to replace my module that houses the master code for the keypad entry on my mercury 05 mariner. What is the name of it? SOmeone stole my master code and as far as l can figure you cannot change the master code....becasue it is hard wired? Anyhow l need a new unit but it is hard to find when you do not know what its called.

On this year/model it is in the Smart Junction Box (SJB) which is located located under the front passenger side floor console. 14B476. l suggest taking it to the dealer since there are functions that need to be downloaded from the old module and uploaded to the new one.

just wondering are you talking about the keypad on the door or something different the directions for the keypad are in the owners book how to reprogram the keypad with a different id is this what you are looking for?

sh752 is correct. It should be part of the smart junction box that year and replacement is the only way. the code is not ''hard wired'' but it is burned into a memory chip that dealers can not change..only by replacement

But yep..dealer only item for replacement as a Ford dealer scan tool is needed to remove current data and transfer it over to the new module (on how the interior lights and such are supposed to work)
