Has new spark plugs/ wires, coil pack, voltage regular, battery, EGR Sensor (DPFE), replaced a few of the vacuum lines, which all are holding a good vacuum.I am still getting an EGR code but that is been a problem for awhile and never had a problem with starting, no other codes.

At first it happened when the weather got colder and it was sitting outside it took several tries to get it to start, it would crank but not start.l did a fuel pressure test and those readings are in the normal range.

It did it again last night, the car was inside my garage, took several tries but it finally started.

It only seems to happen with the engine is sitting for awhile, no problems when it is warm, but not all the time.

Any suggestions. I am getting frustrated.

Brian:l have not been able to test it when it wo not start.Have to go to my dad is to use his.Guess l should carry it with me, and hope l can get a helping hand.

what about fuel pressure when it does not start?

2 things
Since it does it after sitting,a fuel pressure test is a good idea.
Next time it has been sitting for a while, turn key to the on position Listen for the fuel pump does it run? can you hear it run? some cars you may not hear it.After key has been in on for 15 to 30 seconds try starting it if it fires right up, l would say weak fuel pump,or it maybe letting fuel drain back to the tank.

l am going to guess it is either a vacuum leak, an incorrect reading from the Air Charge Temperature sensor, or an incorrect reading from the MAF sensor. l do not know how to check that the two sensors are providing correct readings to the computer. If l lived near you I'd love to help out!
