hi, the range switch sits under the cables on the top of the transmission, it has a long, thin plug going to it. remove the actuator arm abouve it, either a 1/2 or 9/16 bolt. wiggle off the l shaped arm, the range switch is held down by a couple bolts in it, remove them, you may break it removing it, dont worry thats normal, . install, reverse of removal.

AJ is correct in his answer. l just need to caution u on the potential for costly damage, if not done carefully. You will need to remove the air cleaner housing assembly on the driver side of the engine compartment. To do this, simply loosen the 5/16'' worm clamp securing the air intake to the throttle body. The air cleaner lid is removed, by simply unlocking the snap type clips. Once done, move the lid & hose assembly out of the way. Remove the one nut securing the manual lever to the shaft. DO NOT break the shaft during removal or installation of this nut!!!! If u do, the transmission will need to be removed, & disassembled in order to replace the shaft, so be careful!!! Once u get the manual lever removed, disconnect the six or eight wire connector to it by squeezing the release tab, & pulling it off. There will be two 8mm bolts that secure the TR sensor to the transmission case. Once removed, carefully remove the sensor, taking care not to damage the SHAFT (you can damage the sensor). Installation is just the reverse order of removal. l would recommend lubricating the shaft with a little bit of anti-seize compound before installing the new sensor. Hope this helps.
