Yes its a good car and real reliable, The police around here are still driving them and so far they like them , l drove one to Fla this summer and was great on gas , l believe l will get a new one some times this year, hope this helps.

l work in a garage, & l have these coming in for maintance all the time, l do not think l have actually ever done a repair on one. l constantly see them coming in with 300 000km-400 000km, & still running smooth. l have an aunt & a grandma that both have one, & they r very nice driving cars. A friend of mine just killed his with 360 000km on it, he got hit in the rear passenger side & bent the frame & shifted the axel over about 6 inches. They r a very strong & powerful car, & for thier size & weight class, they r amont the top, if not the top of their class for fuel econmy. l am a truck guy myself, but if l were ever to buy a car, l would buy a Crown Victoria/GrandMarquies

l own a 2002 Grand Marquis that l bought brand new off the showroom floor & love it. Not only is it comfortable its great on long trips. My car gets about 17 city & 26 hwy. l have had no major problems at all in 5 years, l do regular oil change & pretty much it. What u get for ur money is well worth it. There is a reason they r cop cars & taxis, l had a friend who uses the Crown Vic as limo airport cars & has over 300,000 on them.

Extra note, mine has buckets seats, center console, floor shift, dual exhaust & load leveler suspension, this is a rare release before the Marauder was available. You can still buy a Crown Vic with these options.

They're not bad cars. They serve their purpose, and are extremely reliable. l have never seen one with any major problems (other than the police interceptors where the fuel tanks caught fire after being struck in the rear end)

As for looks, you have to realize, they could look a whole lot worse than they do now. But, l wish Ford Motor Company would replace the Crown Vic with the Ford Falcon which is sold in Australia. *drools* Ooh. that is a hot car.

yes, but why not ask in Ford instead of Mercury?

l do - l am on my 2nd one. The first one (a 1994) was perfectly fine at 11 years old, but my wife did not want an 11 year old car for our primary vehicle. Current one is a 2002, and l will buy one more before Ford stops making them.

Great cars - good mileage for the size and weight, and if they do need repair, they are cheap and easy to fix by any garage you may use.
