wow.. what a coincidence l had one in highcool...well my best advice for you would be to take it out and check all the fuses to make sure its not that and do a total electrical diagnostic before buying a new one.. unless your rich and can afford a brand new cdplayer... you most likely have a short in the electical system but l would need more information about the problem to troubleshoot it

l do not know what is wrong with it right now you see you will have to take the C/D control out and have it looked at, but before you do that take some compressed air and blow into the C/D player you know those cans of compressed air the eye may be dirty or have dust on it , hope this helps.
