All other lights work fine except for the head lights the high beams and the fog lights. Turn signals, hazards and parking lights work fine
The fuses are ok except the low lamp and hight lamp fuse keeps blowing. Is this a short or does anyone have an other ideas? The speedometer and all guages wont work but the instrument panel fuse is ok

Check the bulbs, l had 3 bulbs go simultaneously many years ago and spent 2 hours before l realised both stoplamp bulbs were gone on my trailer, l changed plug socket new wiring scotchlok connectors you name it...

sorry l can not help you out on this, but, l do think there was a problem with wiring, l was told. Do not know where to tell ya to look, l have a cougar too, and I've had wiring problems.

I'd like to know the answer too.

Also, one brake light shows to be out occasionally, by the blinker light on the dash, then it works fine. It is always done this too. No one has been able to diagnose my light problems either.

Check the relays in the fuse box under the hood you could have a bad one also check for
dirt on the connections , hope this helps

Hi if the guages are not working you have a short too.
There is a relay that worrks the hi beams .. it right next to the horn relay in the fuse box and its exactly the same. swap them over see if that works your lights. If it does go get a new relay from auto zone or the likes.
