It is called the Villager. Ford sells a similar vehicle the Freestar, formerly the Windstar.

The *old* Mercury Villager was also Nissan Quest. That was when the Ford Windstar did not make it out the assembly lines quite yet. That was in the mid 80's.

After a couple cycles Ford & Nissan called it quits. It was a marriage of convenience any way. Nissan factory have the capacity, & Ford is just between switching Aerostar production to Windstar (RWD to FWD) which is a full retooling & needed a minivan for Mercury soon.

The model & the combined factory deal was killed in 2002.

In 2004 Nissan reintroduced their own Quest, now a much bigger model. And as others said, Mercury got a rebadged Freestar called the Monterey.

EDIT: Seems Ford, Lincoln, & Mercury r in the midst of a MAJOR revamp of models. Everybody sees that the Freestar is just Windstar with somewhat straighter lines & a different name, no matter how ''new'' Ford says it is. And now Ford is going to rename the Five Hundred to Taurus, even though the Five Hundred looks about as plain as plain can be. (Yes Merc will get the Sable back as well). And the Freestyle, which is also based on the same platform as the Five Hundred, will be marketed as the Taurus / Sable X, & that will take the place of the minivan, at least for a while, until Ford figures out how to revive the WHATEVERstar, if they ever want to, that is.

So the answer the ORIGINAL question, the answer is ''not really as Ford no longer HAVE a minivan in their lineup officially. They've all gone to crossovers. (Which l think is a dumb move, as Chrysler did not stop making Caravans while introducing Pacificas).

l just checked our internal & the public sites & we do not list a mini-van.

We have switched to the ''cross over'' vehicle - the Sable X that is due out later this year.

Basically, we got our butts handed to us by Chrysler & Honda. We do not have the money to develop & new minivan that can compete, so we r going in a different direction, hoping that is where the customers r going.

l know a lot of people who love the cavernous space & sliding doors of a mini-van, so l do not know that it is a great idea. However, the sales numbers for minivans is falling dramatically (even for Chrysler), so the ''forecasters'' must be reading those tea leaves..

There were some 2007 Monterey mini-vans built, but production ended late in 2006. You may be able to find a dealership with one remaining in inventory.

the villiger was dropped some years ago .. replaced by the monteray which was also dropped .
