Can any body tell me about a code?
po340 cam shaft position sensor......How much to have fixed can l do it myself ....shop told me that it took a spacific tool
any suggestions or help would be great

l had this code pop up on a 1998 Mercury Mystique. It turns out that the timing belt was going out, and had skipped a few teeth. l would check the belt before anything else.
If it is the belt, you could probably do it yourself for about $30-50. You're probably looking about $300 for a shop to do it.
