Replaced spark plug wires, think l screwed up the order (had to pull from the engine to get the store to sell me the right type.

Dave if you look at the engine you will see 3 spark plugs the first one on your right is 1 the middle is 2 and the last is 3 on the rear 4 5 6 . the spark plug wires will only fit one way measure and connect. good luck

You should be able to get that info off of the hood of the car. Take a look at the stickers that show the emissions flow chart diagram. some where on one of the stickers is info regarding engine timing, cylinder order, and #1 cylinder firing position b4 or after TDC in degrees.

Your illustrations r CORRECT. The firing order of ur engine, & ALL Ford V6 engines for that matter, is 1-4-2-5-3-6. The cylinder orientation is as follows:

With that said, the mating cylinders r 1 & 5, 4 & 3, 2 & 6.
If u look carefully on ur coilpack, they should be numbered. One thing that is very noteworthy. It is STRONGLY advised that u use ONLY the proper Ford/Motorcraft replacement wires & plugs. l have seen & heard too many times, how many people have settled for poorer quality aftermarket ignition parts, in the interest of saving on the cost of the OEM parts.
