no, its very different than either of the engines that came in your cougar. it would take a ton of modifications and rewiring and lots of time and money.

They have a bunch of details for how to swap each Duratec into the Cougar.
Ignore the last guy. The Jag X Type 3.0 is a Duratec engine that with some modification will fit into the Cougar which used a 2.5 Duratec it has been done more than once.
