Its pretty much self explainatory. Its at least a two person job, but youre probably going to need a third. Buy the windsheild sealant at autozone. It shouldnt be more then $25. Assuming u already have taken off the old windsheild & tar, the next thing youll need to do is pull up the rubber trim around the window. If u cant get it out without bending the crap out of it, ur going to need to replace it as well. l think they make a universal trim kit, so while youre at autozone ask for it.
Next, not knowing where u live, youre probably going to need to lay the sealant, then heat it up with a heat gun.
then have one friend grab one side of the window, u grab the other, have a friend in the car to control it.
after this, press firmly around all the sides of the windsheild, lay the rubber trim, & youre done.
Some sealant requires time to set, just be sure to read the instructions.
Also remember that some aftermarket winsheild makers do not have the same quality as oem.

And for that guy who said to get rid of the topaz, r u crazy? those r one of the longest living american cars weve seen in the last 30 years. They have no lifetime, its not uncommon at all to see a topaz with 250,000 miles.

Pay someone! Its much easier & not much more than doing it yourself in fact if u break one then it would have been cheaper to pay someone to do it. check

safelite.com
glassdoctor.com

hope this helps l have changed windshields before & for 150 bucks its worth it to have some one else risk breaking it but if u feel u must.

Piano wire to sneak through the edge of the old windshield to cut out the sealant, scrape what ever sealant is left with a putty knife or better yet a linoleum knife. Then all u need is the trim piece from Mercury & then some type of silicon sealant like RTV silicon can work but better to get an adhesive one, u can get the real stuff at the dealer but its more money. Then just put the molding around the new windshield & have u & a few of ur buddies set it in place & seal it up. GOOD LUCK! hope this helps!!

Never get rid of the Topaz. It will run forever.

Unless you are Auto body or glass specialist, that is nothing you want to do yourself.
