From the looks of it, it would fit, but there is no guarantee u could hook it up & have everything work, particularly if the new stereo is meant to have steering wheel controls or something & ur car does not have them.

If the wiring harnesses do not match up exactly, u might be best served by having any such stereo professionally installed.

edit: It does not look like the factory stereos changed very much. You should know that Ford has a history of making spectacularly shitty factory stereos, & that if u replace it with something aftermarket, u will hear a marked improvement in sound quality.

Get something else.

Sorry, wont work. Older ford/lincoln/mercury is use a different design than a newer one does. Also, the connector in the back of the radio will differ as well. Youre only choice is to buy the exact replacement unless you are willing to change connectors and solder some wires.

if you find a factory cd player in either a Marquis, Crown Vic, or Lincoln Town car around that same year it should work ok most of them did not have sterring wheel controls maybe some of the town cars did but not all so you should be able to find one in a salvage yard or on Ebay just try to stick with that year or real close to it.
