Its a '99 Cougar- the engines on those things are crammed in there and have no idea where the radiator plug is!!! Thanks!

if its not on the bottom facing engine it my not have one take bottom hose off

should be on the right or left side of lower radiator, l thought my grand am did not have one because everything is so crammed in there but after looking real good with a trouble light l found it and it was not like a normal drain plug but l pulled out on it and it drained. good luck.

l am assuming ur '99 Cougar is equipped with th 2.5L V6, since u state how ''crammed'' in there it is. l could not agree with u more. To access the radiator drain plug on this vehicle requires removing the nine fasteners holding the lower valence splash shield to the front bumper fascia. l know it is inconvenient, but once removed, the radiator drain plug is located on the lower RIGHT side of the radiator. It is plastic, & has a ''star'' shaped pattern on it. It is fragile, so be careful when removing it. Hope this helps.
