had the obd code pulled and it says the shift solenoid circuit is stuck... a couple of questions... 1. how to repair it (and what parts other than the solenoid itself), 2. where can l find a diagram, or repair info for free online, 3. what would the cost be to have it repaired in a shop, and finally, 4. what is the urgency level? the check engine light has been on for almost a month before l got the code pulled (didnt have time). with christmas coming up, im wondering what risk am l running to just wait til the first of the year to repair it? any help is appreciated. thanks.

Inspect and clean all the connectors to the transmission :)

Shift sol. is on the valve body of the transmission in the transmission. It may be a wire going to the sol. that has a bad connection
|

If it is not fixed soon enough, you may be looking at a transmission overhaul. What gears are you losing?
